Walt Disney World Ticket Guide
From single-day visits to weeklong vacations, Disney offers a variety of ticket options. Understanding what’s available is key to planning the perfect trip.
Ticket Basics
All guests age 3 and up require a valid ticket.
Tickets are date-based — prices vary depending on the day and season.
Each ticket is linked to your My Disney Experience account.
Park reservations are no longer required for date-based tickets.
Standard Theme Park Tickets
These tickets include admission to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. The more days you buy, the lower the price per day.
What's Included with a Base Ticket?
Entry into one theme park per day.
Access to all standard attractions, shows, fireworks, and character experiences within that park.
The ability to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass to save time in line.
Ticket Add-Ons & Upgrades
Park Hopper Option
Visit more than one park per day. Start at any park, then "hop" to another anytime you wish (no reservation needed). Great for EPCOT evenings or starting at Animal Kingdom and hopping to Magic Kingdom.
Park Hopper Plus Option
Everything from Park Hopper plus a certain number of visits to other Disney fun, including water parks (Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon), ESPN Wide World of Sports, and miniature golf.
Lightning Lane Passes
Sold separately, this line-skipping service has two parts: Multi Pass to pre-book 3 rides, and Single Pass for high-demand attractions. Resort guests can book 7 days in advance, others 3 days.
Specialty Ticket Options
After Hours & Party Tickets
Separate admission required for events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. These offer limited crowds and unique entertainment.
Florida Resident Tickets
Discounted multi-day or seasonal passes are often available for Florida residents. Proof of residency is required at the time of purchase and use.
Annual Passes
Multiple pass types with varying levels of access and blockout dates. Annual Passes include discounts on food, merchandise, and parking.

Tips to Maximize Value
Visit during slower seasons (late Jan–early Feb, late Aug–Sept) for lower date-based ticket prices.
The more days you add, the cheaper the per-day cost. A 5-day ticket is a much better value than a 3-day ticket.
Start with base tickets. You can always upgrade to a Park Hopper later at a Guest Relations window if you change your mind.
Schedule longer park days for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, as they have the most attractions to experience.
